LPG vs Endosphere vs manual massage: what's the difference and which to choose

· By the Not Cellulite team

Just so you know, we use WellShape ourselves. Here's an honest look at how the four methods differ and how to choose.

LPG vs Endosphere vs manual massage: what's the difference and which to choose

In short: all of them are massage, by hand, with rollers and vacuum, or with a roller of small spheres. WellShape adds warmth to the vacuum-and-roller massage, and the warmth can help your skin get firmer.

How they differ

LPGEndosphereWellShape
How it works
Massage with rollers or spheressmoother skin, less puffiness

All three devices massage. LPG and WellShape use rollers together with vacuum. Endosphere has a roller of small spheres that presses and vibrates, without vacuum.

Vacuumdraws the skin in, deeper massage

The vacuum gently draws the skin into the handpiece, and the rollers work it more deeply. The therapist sets the strength for you.

Deep warmthskin can get firmer

WellShape warms the skin deep down. Warmth can help the skin make more collagen, so it can get firmer and more elastic.

Extra gentle warmthmakes the session feel cosy

The same handpiece also gives a gentle, soothing warmth. That's why the session feels like a warm massage.

What it helps with
Less visible cellulite

WellShape has all three: massage, vacuum and warmth. LPG has massage with vacuum, Endosphere only massage. After any of them cellulite can become less visible.

Thighs and tummy size

Same as above: WellShape has the most ways to work on this. We take measurements before and after, so you can see for yourself if there's a difference.

Less puffiness

Massage and vacuum help with puffiness; warmth matters less here. So LPG and WellShape score the same, and Endosphere, which has no vacuum, a bit lower.

Firmer skin

Warmth matters most for firmness: it can help the skin make more collagen. Only WellShape has warmth. Massage, with or without vacuum, helps a little too.

The stronger the colour, the more ways the device has to work on this: massage, vacuum, warmth. It isn't a measured result.

Manual massage

The therapist works with her hands and feels where to press harder and where to ease off. Many women love that human touch. And manual massage really works. A lot depends on how experienced the therapist is.

LPG

A well-known French device. Vacuum draws the skin in and rollers knead it. Good for puffiness. No warmth.

Endosphere

An Italian device. A rotating roller made of small spheres presses and vibrates rhythmically. No vacuum and no warmth. Good if you don't like the feeling of your skin being drawn in.

And ours: WellShape

It also uses vacuum and rollers. The therapist sets the vacuum strength for you. On top of the massage there's warmth, which can help your skin get firmer and more elastic.

Which to choose

What to ask before any treatment

  1. What device is it and what will I feel?
  2. How many sessions do I need and how often?
  3. Is it safe for me? Is there any reason I shouldn't do it?
  4. How will I know it's working? Do you take measurements?

The honest truth about results

With any massage, the effect lasts as long as you keep up the sessions. To see what changes, we take measurements before and after. To find out where cellulite comes from in the first place, read "What causes cellulite and why almost every woman has it".
